In the early hours of Monday, an armed attack took place inside the bar Makali, located in the Tlalpan mayor's office, which left one man dead and four people injured. The events occurred at approximately 4:30 AM at the intersection of Acoxpa highway and División del Norte avenue, in the Prados Coapa Tercera Sección neighborhood, where a group of armed individuals stormed the establishment and opened fire. According to the official report from the Capital's Citizen Security Secretariat, officers from the Coapa sector responded to the site after receiving alerts about firearm detonations. Upon arrival, the officers confirmed the death of a man and "took note of four men who were injured and were taken to different hospitals for specialized medical care." In response to these events, the area was secured and cordoned off by patrols assigned to the Tlalpan mayor's office to allow for forensic work. The Security Secretariat detailed that staff from the establishment were arrested for alleged obstruction of justice. The capital authority specified that "at the scene, three bar workers were arrested and presented to the Public Ministry agent for corresponding investigations and to define their legal situation, due to the alteration of the scene, as they were performing cleaning tasks." The capital authority reported that the analysis of the surveillance cameras at the location and in the area is already underway to identify how the events occurred and the probable responsible parties.
